EPT Monte Carlo 2024 is here, 10 days of the best poker ahead

The prestigious EPT poker series opened its doors yesterday in the luxurious Monte Carlo, where 10 more days of poker action await players. Once again, there are key events, players from all over the world, and live streams to look forward to.

Super expensive cars, luxury yachts and luxury everywhere you look - Monte Carlo has long been associated with the lifestyle of the top ten thousand, which only adds more flair to the EPT Monte Carlo poker festival. It returns to the popular location again after a year away, and yesterday it opened its doors with two opening events.

Main Event FPS

Traditionally, the EPT Main Event is preceded by the cheaper Main Event of the FPS, Estrellas and Eureka series, which has been breaking records year after year. This year, the Paris FPS Main Event set a new bar, with players paying the €1,100 buy-in a total of 4,149 times. The champion of the event was Dutchman Mateusz Moolhuizen, who converted his no-deal buy-in into a reward of €470,830.

We'll see in the next few days if these numbers can be surpassed in Monaco. Yesterday, the ME FPS brought the first two flighters, which together produced 612 entries and 92 advancers from them. Among them were names like Vivian Saliba, Felix Schneiders, Antoine Labat, Sebastian Malec, harry Lodge, Jason Wheeler and the aforementioned reigning champion Mateusz Moolhuizen, who bagged the 7th biggest stack on Day 1B.

€10k Mystery Bounty

For those who have no problem with 5-figure buy-ins, the first day of the €10,200 Mystery Bounty event was also prepared yesterday. This produced a total of 69 entries and 39 advancers at the end of the day, but both of these numbers are not yet final as registration for the tournament is still open. This tournament wasn't short on familiar names from the poker world either, with the likes of Aliaksei Boika, Alejandro Lococo, Damian Salas, Sam Grafton, Ole Schemion and Adrian Mateos continuing to play.

Live streams

Live streams have become a staple of the EPT series, immersing viewers around the world in the game. In addition to the traditional five streaming days of the Main Event, the current stop will also feature two more streams, namely the final tables of the FPS Main Event (April 28) and the final table of the €100k Super High Roller (April 29). Are you excited?
