Global Poker Awards - ocenění, která jsou v pokerovém světě přirovnávána k pomyslným Oscarům, jsou zpět, a v pořadí třetí ročník přinese svůj galavečer už za pár dní. Konkrétně v pátek 18. února se smetánka světového pokeru setká v PokerGO studiu v Las Vegas, kde se odevzdá 18 ocenění v různých oblastech.

Během galavečera budou oceněni také nejlepší hráč a hráčka roku podle ročníku GPI, kde jméno mužského hráče asi nikoho nepřekvapí. Tím nejlepším hráčem se s přehledem stal Ali Imsirovic, mladý talent, který se raketově rychle stal postrachem těch nejlepších hráčů světa a který si na své konto připsal už desítky turnajových výher. Zastoupení něžnějšího pohlaví po dvou výhrách Kristen Bicknell tentokrát ovládla americká hráčka Nadya Magnus.
