The WPT World Championship is the name of the Main Event currently taking place at the Wynn Las Vegas. The $10,400 buy-in tournament brought 2,392 entries and a prizepool of $23,441,600. The winner here will be awarded $3,138,900, which includes a $10,400 ticket to next year's WPT World Championship.

The challenge on Day 2 yesterday was to get the game to the ITM stage, where 299 players were eligible. This was eventually accomplished, with exactly 299 players advancing to Day 3 and all of them already pocketing at least $19,600.

The chipleader here is Australian player Malcolm Trayner, who has bagged up a stack of 3,275,000. Familiar names here include Nikita Kuznetsov, Jon Van Fleet, Mikita Badziakouski, Chino Rheem, Maurice Hawkins, Niall Farrell, Robert Mizrachi, Chris Moorman, Joey Ingram, Maria Konnikova and Ethan "Rampage" Yau.

There will be a live stream from the WPT World Championship today as well, which you can find on our website tonight. There are six 90-minute levels waiting for players today, and play will start at blinds of 10k/15k/15k.
