William Stanford is an American player from Tupelo, Mississippi, and has filled the world's poker sites over the past few days thanks to his incredible success. First, on January 8, he became the champion of Event #2, in The Beau Rivage Heater series, held at the Beau Rivage Hotel & Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi. The $500 buy-in NLH tournament brought in 2,525 entries and took care of a prizepool of $1,034,550. William cashed a nice $181,487 for the win.

Just a few days after his win, he also entered the Main Event of this series, where the buy-in was $1,200. Here, the entries counter got to 1,755 and the guaranteed one million dollars became a prizepool of $1,842,750. A $216,888 prize awaited the winner here, which was also battled over by William Stanford at the final table. However, he now took third place, which earned him an another $168,923.

About two weeks later, he also came to play the WSOPC Mississippi series, held at the Horseshoe Casino & Hotel Tunica. He finished just shy of the final table in Event #5, which was the NLH 6-Max, finishing in 7th place. However, after event number 9, he already held the champion's ring in his hand. The tournament was a $400 NLH with 160 entries and a prizepool of $52,800. William made $13,075 for his first place finish.

However, after this win, he had no idea that this wasn't his last ring at this stop. In fact, the very next day he entered the $1,100 PLO High Roller, which reached 149 entries, turning the original $50,000 guarantee into a $145,275 prizepool. Stanford paid 12 buy-ins here, which eventually paid off as he won another ring and the amount of $36,423.

If you think that these achievements were enough, William will prove you wrong. A week or so has passed and William has made another final table, namely in the penultimate tournament of the entire WSOPC series. This was the one-day NLH - Big 30k with a buy-in of $400, an entry count of 228 and a prizepool of $75,240. Stanford won his third ring of the week here on Feb. 2, and his seventh ring overall, adding another $17,262 to his overall winnings.

As you may notice, William "Cody" Stanford managed to sit at 5 final tables (almost 6), win 4 tournaments and win three valuable WSOPC gold rings in less than a month. In less than one month, he won $428,070 and cashed in a total of eleven tournaments. This brings his lifetime live tournament winnings to just under $1.9 million.
