It took 12 long years for the North American Poker Tour (NAPT) to return to the tournament map last year. It brought a successful festival to Las Vegas with a $1,650 Main Event.
Things won't be the same as last year
We don't have to wait another few years for the series to continue, and PS told us just a few days ago that the NAPT will be returning to Resorts World Las Vegas this November.
A festival full of enticing tournaments will take place on the dates of November 1-10. The NAPT Mystery Bounty tournament with a buy-in of $550 will be the opening event, followed by the Super High Roller with a buy-in of $25,000, the High Roller with a buy-in of $10,300, and the affordable NAPT Cup with a buy-in of $550 will not be missed.
Traditionally, the Main Event is the most attention-grabbing, but it's reported to be a change from last year. Last year, the Main Event had a buy-in of $1,650 and brought in 1,095 entries. The winner here was poker dealer Sami Bechahed with a prize of $268,945. This year, however, the NAPT Main Event will have the same buy-in as the EPT Main Events, $5,300. The Main Event is scheduled to take place from November 5 to 10.
Steve Preiss, Vice President of PokerStars North America, said in a press release, " Last year the NAPT exceeded all expectations, so this year we're going even further. With a premier partner like Resorts World Las Vegas, we're stepping up our game - bigger tournaments, buy-ins and player-focused events."
Leon Wheeler, Director of Poker Operations at Resorts World Las Vegas, added: " Resorts World Las Vegas is excited to announce the highly anticipated return of PS and NAPT in November. After last year's tremendous success, we are eager to build on this momentum and host an even more spectacular festival in 2024."
