The WSOPE at the Rozvadov poker room continued yesterday with the final days of two tournaments. The first was the €25,000 buy-in, €1,000,000 GGMillion€, which attracted only 38 entries, leaving the guarantee now unfulfilled. Last year, this tournament brought 89 entries and a prizepool of over €2,000,000.
In play yesterday, we saw names like Stephen Chidwick, Shaun Deeb, Julien Martini, Martin Kabrhel, Jan-Peter Jachtmann, Kristen Foxen, Alex Foxen, Leon Tsoukernik and Viktor Blom.
Alex Foxen eliminated his wife Kristen before the final table and entered the final table as a chilpeader. However, no one at the 9-seat final table was yet assured of a cash prize, it was waiting for only the top 6 players.
Alex Foxen held the chipleader position the whole time and was being caught by Leon Tsoukernik. However, the latter started to lose chips in the five-player game and eventually finished in 4th place with a prize of €98,200. Third place went to Salih Atac from Switzerland, who took home €141,500.
Alex Foxen made it to the final heads-up with a stack of up to 15,000,000 (75bb) and Alessandro Pichierri with a stack of just 4,000,000 (20bb). Heads-up play lasted just under 30 minutes and Pichierri managed to turn the game in his favour. In the end, he beat Foxen and put his second bracelet on his hand, along with a €335,900 prize. Alex Foxen took home €223,900 for his second place finish.
