The Winamax Poker Open is at an end. The series, hosted once again by Banco Casino Bratislava, has met all of its champions, and we learned the name of the last one last night.
The Main Event at the Banco Casino Bratislava saw an excellent 1,516 entries, which meant that the prizepool climbed to €667,040. The last 17 players jumped into yesterday's final day and battled it out in front of the cameras.
After approximately three hours of play, the final table was formed from the original field of seventeen players. It featured the players already in direct contention for the title and the €90,000 prize. The chipleader of the final table was Valentin Imperatore with a stack of 19,025,000 chips.
The dominance of the French players was also evident at the final table, where six French and one Belgian player fought to their last breath. And it was Belgium's Aliosha Staes who walked away with the title of 2024 WPO Main Event champion, turning an initial €500 into a handsome €90,000 prize. Congratulations!
