Recently, various allegations of cheating have been surfacing. Last week we brought you an article about security flaws in the Deckmate 2 automatic shuffler, or Martin Kabrhel's card-marking accusations at the recent WSOP in Vegas.
Today, we bring you another allegation from Swiss poker pro and coach Andreas Froehli, who is stating on his twitter account that there is a High Stakes cheating ring on the Poker Bros app making “millions” from colluding against unaware players in PLO games of $25/$50 and higher.
Fraud alert: wsopchampp + copypaste_ & various other cheaters are making millions colluding on @pokerbros PLO5k+ online. (no diamond hand blasting 3 streets)

This is how highstakes poker cheating really looks like these days. Real poker sites have been losing high stakes action… pic.twitter.com/n7mQjl9BcU
The poker community is usually quick to get on board when any kind of suspected cheating at poker comes to light, but in this case most were of the opinion that the claims lacked evidence. The hand above was Froehli’s only proof provided. “At 25/50 you are either a whale or a cheater if you take this spot,” Froehli says of the hand above. He adds: “If ‘copypaste’ wants to prove he didn’t cheat, all he needs to do is post the HH.”
PokerBros actually claims to have a 97.5% detection rate but many are not sure about the security of poker apps in general. Froehli shares the same opinion: “A lot of people are still missing the point. Yes, one can expect to get cheated on these apps & has to take responsibility. However, a ton of people still play there & when this happens, it's time to reveal the real names behind the cheaters, also on real online poker sites. They will cheat anywhere, also live. Jake & Ali are not enough!”
I'm amazed how this very common 'collusion bluffspot' has people arguing.

There's my school of thought, the 'beynesian' guys, who constantly update a 'prior probability' based on new evidence. That is why I am calling wsopchampp a cheater.

PokerBros were quick to react, getting the security team to conduct a thorough review of the players in question. “Three professional PLO players from the PokerBros security team took the time to review every lifetime hand these two players have played, and concluded collusion was not present anywhere between them, “ stating that it was nothing but clean play.
