First, we brought you the information about the success of Maurice Hawkins, who five days ago matched Ari Engel's record of 18 WSOPC gold rings, and then we wrote about the controversy that surrounded the win.

Today, we can follow up on that story thanks to an update posted to our social media feed by Alan "Ari" Engel. He boasted that he has won his 19th WSOPC ring and once again, after less than a week, sits alone at the top of the leaderboard with the most rings.

What tournament did he win?

Ari entered the US version of the WSOPC Online Super Circuit, which is only open to players from Michigan, New Jersey, Nevada and Pennsylvania, under the nickname 'Ngindn'. Ari specifically played the Pennsylvania leg of the second tournament, which was the $35,000 NLH Big 500.

The total number of entries reached 86, which meant a prizepool worth $40,162. Of that amount, $10,141 awaited the winner, who also got himself a WSOPC gold championship ring. On the last hand of the night, Ari called his opponents all-in, and after the board was dealt, he claimed his record 19th WSOPC ring. Maurice Hawkins is now "only" second with 18 rings, and has to catch Ari again.
