By the New Year, many of you must have made a resolution to lose weight, put on muscle, or just start exercising. How about combining fitness with poker?

Yes, such a 60-day challenge was introduced to us on social media by Dan "Jungleman" Cates, and its name is the Shuffle & Shred Challenge. As the official site states, it's the first fitness and poker challenge designed to inspire a transformation of your body, mind, and bank account.

The whole challenge starts today, February 1, and you can enter for a $300 fee. For that amount, you'll get fitness and nutrition advice, access to a private Discord channel, and the ability to track your progress through a private fitness app. The whole challenge will be topped off with a $20,000 poker tournament.

During the 60-day challenge, all participants will have the opportunity to increase their stack in the tournament by achieving various physical accomplishments. Those who perform best in the physical challenges during the challenge will have more chips available in the aforementioned tournament.

And what challenges will you have to complete? For example, walk 10,000 steps in a day or lift various weights. As Cates states, the challenge is suitable for beginners but also for advanced players. The date of the final live poker tournament will be announced at a later date.
