The Aria Resort & Casino in Las Vegas is home to the PokerGO studio and is the current venue for the PGT Cup. It will feature a total of 8 tournaments until January 20, and all of them will be in NLH format.

The first tournament is already behind us and it had a buy-in of $5,100. The entries count got up to 111 here and that's how the $555,000 prizepool was distributed. The prize money was waiting for 16 players, with the mincash worth $8,325. A trophy and a prize of $141,525 awaited the winner.
Sitting at the 6 seat final table as chipleader was David Peters with a stack of 4,950,000.
Cody Daniels was the first to exit the final table, taking home $27,750 for 6th place. Fifth place went to Dusti Smith who cashed for $36,075, fourth place went to Fabian Quoss who took home $49,950 and third place went to Shawn Daniels who cashed for $63,825.
David Peters and Mark Ioli were pitted against each other in the final heads-up. Mark Ioli entered heads-up play with a 2:1 advantage. However, it didn't last long and David Peters regained the lead. Peters had already finished what he started, knocking out Ioli at the end and taking home the full winner's prize, the trophy and valuable leaderboard points. Mark Ioli took home $88,800 for his second place finish.
