Day 3 of the MPP Main Event will also feature some familiar names

The Mediterranean Poker Party (MPP) and the EAPT brand have teamed up to bring us a festival with tempting guarantees. The entire festival is taking place at the Merit Royal Premium Hotel Casino & Spa in Cyprus and currently all eyes are on the MPP Main Event.

Main Event Destroyed Guarantee

The Main Event with a buy-in of $5,300 guaranteed $5,000,000 and that of course attracted many players. The total number of entries here came to 1,260, bringing the prizepool to $6,048,000. A reward of $1,000,000 awaits the winner.

Today we are waiting for Day 3, where 42 players have made it through. The overall chipleader is Russia's Azamat Lamkov with a stack of 17,850,000, followed by Germany's Leon Sturm with a stack of 17,800,000.

The list of advancers also includes names like Alex Keating (15,325,000), Matas Cimbolas (11,325,000), Andras Matrai (8,550,000), Dean Hutchison (6,000,000), Stephen Song (5,175,000), Adi Rajkovic (1,950,000) and Kalidou Sow (1,875,000).

All players have already pocketed at least $24,300 and play will begin in the blinds at 150k/300k/300k. The plan for today is to get to know the names of the final table participants.

High Roller MPP

The High Roller MPP got underway yesterday with a buy-in of $10,400 and a $1,000,000 guarantee. It brought 159 entries, bringing the prizepool to $1,526,400. This leaves $365,000 awaiting the winner and 23 players will take home the prize money.

Today, 33 players will look to the second day of play. They are led by Dutch player Michel Molenaar with a stack of 4,135,000. Stoyan Madanzhiev (3,300,000), Samuel Ju (1,870,000) and Boris Kolev (900,000) are also among the advancers.
