Grand Casino Liechtenstein once again delivered a great event and set new local records. The Euro Poker Million originally guaranteed CHF 1,000,000 with a buy-in of CHF 600, but thanks to a record 2,835 entries, the prizepool has now reached CHF 1,469,650.
A prize of CHF 250,000 awaited the winner and 48 players battled it out in the final table. They were led by Denis Gergoc with a huge stack. Denis also made it to the final table, but he was one of the smaller stacks. The chipleader was Andreas Merk with a stack of almost 41 million.
Andreas Merk eventually finished in third place, for which he took home CHF 116,000. Denis Gergoc and Jakob Rapatz went into the final heads-up. Out of this pair, Denis Gergoc, an Albanian player living in Switzerland, emerged as the winner, taking home CHF 250,000 and a trophy to boot. The Austrian player Jakob Rapatz was awarded CHF 167,304 for his second place.
