EPT Announces All EPT Stops For This Year, Adds Malta and Prague

Article cover

The European Poker Tour is a hugely popular series on the European poker map, and with the announcement of a brand new series called the Pokerstars Open taking place this year, many players have been asking - what about the EPT?

Because at the end of 2024, the organisers presented us with just three EPT stops for 2025, namely Paris, Monte-Carlo and Barcelona. However, during EPT Prague, news came that the Paris stop was cancelled due to a change in laws in France. EPT Monte-Carlo will be held on the dates from April 30 to May 10, 2025, and EPT Barcelona will take place from August 18 to August 31.

A big return and a favourite classic

EPT Malta has been added to the schedule with a stop at the InterContinental Malta, which will take place from October 1 to 12. EPT Malta was last held in 2016 and a return to the destination is certainly no surprise. Malta offered great weather, sunshine, sea and a vibrant nightlife, which are definitely great attributes for a fantastic poker event.

There have been rumours for months that the 2024 EPT Prague was the last time the series would be held here and that it would not be returning the following year. However, last year's edition was a record-breaker, proving once again that players simply love this stop. The success of the series was unaffected by the WSOP Paradise taking place on the same date in the Bahamas and the WPT taking place in Las Vegas.

So we're delighted to announce that EPT Prague will return to the Hilton again in 2025 for the traditional pre-Christmas dates of December 3-14. Last year, the Main Event here reached a record 1,458 entries and a prizepool of €7,071,300. Will the record be broken again?

A new Pokerstars Open Cannes was originally announced for December 8-14, but thanks to EPT Prague, it has been given a new date, and will now take place from December 15-21.

What's next?

Up next, you can look forward to the new Pokerstars Open series, which will be held for the first time at the Casinò di Campione. It all kicks off on March 10 and will run until March 16. There will be a Main Event with a buy-in of €1,100 and a guarantee of €1,000,000, a High Roller with a buy-in of €2,200, a Super High Roller with a buy-in of €5,000, a Mystery Bounty Cup with a buy-in of €400 or a Second Chance with a buy-in of €550.
