EPT Cyprus Main Event bubble bursts as 144 players advance to Day 3

The Merit Royal Diamond Hotel Casino & Spa is hosting the European Poker Tour Cyprus series and all eyes are on the $5,300 buy-in Main Event, where we learned the final numbers yesterday. These are slightly lower than last year.

The Main Event brought in 1,284 entries and a prizepool of $6,227,400. 191 players were able to make it to the ITM, with a min-cash of $8,400 and $1,030,000 awaiting the winner. The unfortunate bubble-boy was Samuel Fournier.

144 players have advanced to today's Day 3, and all of them have already pocketed at least $9,100. The chipleader is Fahredin Mustafov with a stack of 920,000. Close behind is Ivan Zabiiakin with a stack of 915,000, and the top three are rounded out by German player Oliver Weis, who has a stack of 715,000.
