€1,100 Main Event FPS
The "little brother" of the EPT's €1,100 buy-in Main Event is very popular with players, and it was no different in Monte Carlo. Although the organisers' expectations were probably not met and last year's 2,138 entries could not be surpassed, the final 2,096 entries still took care of the €2,012,160 prizepool.
The biggest chunks of it will be given away in today's final day, which the last 6 players made it through to. They are currently led by Bulgaria's Atanas Malinov by a wide margin, who has bagged a stack twice as big as the runner-up, France's Virgile Turchi.

1. | Gabi Livshitz | ISR | 6,050,000 (20 bb) |

€2,200 High Roller FPS
In addition to the aforementioned Main Event, the FPS series also regularly features a €2,200 buy-in High Roller, which has now completed both opening flights. These have produced a total of 1,217 entries, making the prizepool worth €2,336,640. This will be redistributed among the 181 advancers who will meet in today's Day 2.
The €100k Super High Roller and a running Alex Kulev
In addition to the aforementioned action, the most expensive tournament of the entire stop, the €100,000 buy-in Super High Roller, took place yesterday. The astronomical buy-in was paid a total of 58 times during the first day of play, bringing the current prizepool to €5.6 million. A total of 29 players successfully fought their way through the rigours of the first day of play, but all these numbers are still subject to change as registration for the tournament is open until the start of Day 2 (the starting stack will still be a comfortable 42bb today).
As you would expect with tournaments like this, the player field is packed with world class names and some of the best pros. Through the first day of play, names such as Daniel Dvoress, Steve O'Dwyer, Adrian Mateos , Sam Grafton, Dan Smith, Stephen Chidwick, Justin Bonomo and Alex Kulev managed to make it through. Especially the latter, Bulgarian Alex Kulev, has started to write a beautiful story - he was the one who won the same tournament a year ago (€1,036,287 after a HU deal with Mikit Badziakouski), and today he managed to bag the 3rd biggest stack, which only strengthened his chances of a back-to-back win of a lifetime!
And to make matters worse, it was Alex Kulev who just two days ago won another EPT Series Spade trophy. The quality-packed €30,000 NLH Warm-up produced a total of 77 entries, making for a €2,248,785 prizepool. It was Kulev who grabbed the biggest chunk of it, defeating Daniel Dvores in heads-up play to take home the full €633,385.
