Patrik Antonius dominated the Super High Roller

Yesterday in our article we brought you information about the finalists of the Super High Roller, where Patrik Antonius was at the top of the leaderboard and was thus well on his way to the top prize.

The Super High Roller brought a record 72 entries and thus a record prizepool of €6,985,440. Cash prizes were waiting for 11 players and the winner took home €1,967,440.

Patrik Antonius took care of most of the eliminations here and also made it to the final heads-up where he was pitted against Christoph Vogelsang. However, even he couldn't stop the running Patrik and in the end Patrik Antonius was the winner. He claimed the full winner's prize, plus his second EPT title. His total live tournament winnings have now surpassed the $20 million mark.

EPT Main Event

The Main Event also took care of the record. With the number of entries already at 1,133 before the close of registration, this edition of the EPT Monte Carlo Main Event is already the biggest ever. There are now 373 players in Day 2 and 239 players have already advanced from yesterday's Day 2 alone. The prizepool is already worth €5,572,650.

The chipleader of Fligh 1B is German player Philipp Wenzelburger with a stack of 283,500 and right behind him is Kayhan Mokri with a stack of 253,000. Other names among the advancers are Byron Kaverman (188,500), Dylan Weisman (178,000), Mustapha Kanit (130,500), Damian Salas (123,000), Felix Schneiders (115,500), Marle Spragg (95,000), Daniel Dvoress (92,000), Simon Wiciak (79,000), Joao Vieira (66,000), and Mike Watson (47,000).

The EPT Monte Carlo Main Event is open for registration until the start of Day 2, which is scheduled for 12:00. Play will begin at blinds of 1,000/1,500/1,500. Of course, you can also look forward to the livestream.
