With the EPT Prague edition now underway, the organisers are certainly pleased as tournament numbers are reaching new records. The EPT Main Event with a buy-in of €5,300 set a new record with 1,458 entries and a prizepool worth €7,071,300.
More than 530 players entered yesterday's Day 2 and 215 players were able to make it to the ITM. The min-cash is worth €8,550 and as much as €1,146,500 awaits the winner. The bubble burst during yesterday's day and so everyone is now assured of a cash prize today.
191 players have advanced to today's Day 3 and they are led by Yauheni Tsiareshchanka from Belarus with a stack of 955,000. Some of the familiar names include Pierre Calamusa, Max Neugebauer, Christian Rudolph, Leo Margets, Julien Sitbon, Davidi Kitai, Nikita Kuznetsov, David Docherty, Sebastian Langrock, Padraig O'Neill, Espen Jorstad, Sam Grafton and Lucien Cohen.
Day 3 will start at 12:00 on blinds of 2,000/5,000/5,000 and from this day onwards there will be a 30 second shot clock, with each player getting a 6 time bank. You can also look forward to the live stream which will start at 12:30.
Mystery Bounty
The first day of the Mystery Bounty kicked off yesterday with a buy-in of €3,000, bringing 716 entries and a prizepool of €1,228,656. However, these numbers are not yet final as registration is open until the start of today's Day 2, where 184 players have advanced. Leading them is Mats Ullereng from Norway with a stack of 410,000.
Parker Talbot the champion
Parker Talbot became EPT champion yesterday after dominating the €1,050 NLH Hyper Turbo KO with 228 entries and a prizepool of €218,880. He took home €22,180 for first place, but how much he earned in bounty prizes was not disclosed.
