Eureka Main Event sets new record, moves to Day 2 today

In case you didn't know, the Hilton Prague is currently hosting the EPT Prague series, which runs until December 15. One of the first tournaments is the €1,100 buy-in Eureka Main Event, which had 6 flights.

Those are all over now and last year's record of 4,403 entries was handily broken. This year, the Eureka Main Event reached a record 4,732 entries and a prizepool of €4,542,720. How much the winner will take home will not be announced until the start of Day 2.

As many as 707 players have advanced to today's Day 2 and they are led by Sweden's Jerry Odeen with a stack of up to 841,000. Martin Kabrhel is also among the top stacks, bagging up 644,000.  Among the big names, Jack Sinclair, Steve O'Dwyer, Benjamin Spragg, Samuel Ju, Marle Spragg, Simon Wiciak, Vanessa Kade and Max Neugebauer are among the advancers.

Day 2 will start at 11:00am on blinds of 3,000/6,000/6,000 and players will run through 60 minute levels.
