The combination of the Italian EuroRounders and Grand Casino Liechtenstein has brought us the Euro Poker Million, a CHF 1,000,000 guaranteed tournament with a buy-in of CHF 600. The opening days already showed us that we could look forward to a big event, but what it proved was probably not expected by the organisers.
The Euro Poker Million took care of 2,835 entries, bringing the prizepool to CHF 1,469,650 and taking care of new local records. 664 is the number of the highest number of entries in a single flighty of this casino, and the total number of entries is the highest number of entries in a single tournament. The record was broken by up to a thousand entries. The prizepool collected here is the second largest prizepool.
Almost 400 players made it to Day 2 yesterday, but only 284 of them were able to make it to the ITM, where CHF 1,200 was already waiting for players. Today's final 48 players have advanced to the final table and all of them already have at least CHF 3,140 in their pockets. A sum of CHF 250,000 awaits the winner and the massive chipleader is Swiss player Denis Gregoc with a stack of 11,140,000.
