Faraz Jaka is the Rock 'N' Roll Poker Open champion, earning more than $313,000

The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood in Florida treated poker fans to the Seminole Hard Rock 'N' Roll Poker Open, which ran from November 20 to December 3.

One of the last tournaments was the $10,000 buy-in Deep Stack NLH, which brought 110 entries and a prizepool worth $1,045,000. A $313,495 prize awaited the winner.

Names such as Faraz Jaka, Shannon Shorr, Vladas Tamasauskas and Austrian player Thomas Mühlöcker battled it out for that amount at the final table. Faraz Jaka, whose stack was worth more than 100 blinds, started the final table here as the chipleader.

Shannon Shorr was the first to say goodbye to the final table, taking home $31,350. He was followed to the cashier by Vladas Tamasauskas, who finished in 8th place. Austrian player Thomas Mühlöcker had to settle for fifth place and a reward of $58,520.

Faraz Jaka fought his way through to the final heads-up where Phillip Krnyaich sat against him. Phillip started heads-up play with a 64 blind stack and Faraz started with a 46 blind stack. Despite this disadvantage, Faraz Jaka was able to defeat his opponent to become the champion of this tournament, which earned him $313,495. Phillip Krnyaich took home $193,325 for second place.
