The German Poker Days was once again held at the Rozvadov poker room with a €300,000 guarantee and a buy-in of €199, where players from the opening flights went straight through to the final day. A ticket to the WSOPE Main Event worth €10,350 awaited the top three players.
The entries count stopped at 2,066, bringing the prizepool to €345,352. Of that amount, a whopping €50,000 was waiting for the winner. The top 9 players were seated at the final table and they were led by German player Benjamin Frainge with a stack of 18,600,000.
The last four consisted of only German players, so they negotiated a deal together, after which they continued to play down to the winner. Joy Waldau finished just ahead of the final heads-up, taking home €19,750.
Max Schoch with a stack worth 35 blinds and Benjamin Frainge with a stack worth 29 blinds sat against each other in the final heads-up.
