WSOP Europe, which is taking place at the Rozvadov poker room, has recognized its fourth gold bracelet winner, out of a total of 15 bracelets. The Mini Main Event, with a buy-in of €1,200+150, guaranteed €1,500,000 and 14 players were also waiting for a ticket to the WSOPE Main Event worth €10,350.

The Mini Main Event brought in 1,286 entries, 443 less than last year. The guaranteed prizepool was filled, however, and a reward of €203,000 awaited the winner. Only the top 8 players were left to fight for this amount on the final day, and they were led by Belgian player Frederic Marechal, who held a huge stack.

Swiss player Luc Ramos was the first to leave the final table, followed by Italian player Luigi Pignataro. Two German players, Frederik Thiemer and Andreas Krause, finished in sixth and fifth place. Fourth place went to China's Xiaohua Yang and just before the final heads-up match, Greek player Dimitrios Anastasakis finished runner-up.

Original chipleader Frederic Marechal and Italy's Christopher Campisano went into the final heads-up. Campisano had been a dealer at the Rozvadov poker room for years and was now fighting for the championship himself. The Italian started heads-up play with a stack of 74.2 million and Marechal started with a stack of 54.4 million.

It didn't take long, however, for the chipleaders to switch positions. Christopher Campisano even found himself at a 9:1 disadvantage. But even that didn't stop him! A couple of hands were all it took and the Italian player was chipleader again. In the last hand of the day, Campisano hit a flush to handily defeat his opponent. He now earned his first WSOP bracelet at his former workplace, a prize of €203,000 and a ticket to the WSOPE Main Event. Frederic Marechal took home €135,200 for his second place finish and a ticket as well.
