Card Casino Bratislava prepared a Royal tournament for its poker fans, which guaranteed €250,000 for a buy-in of €200. The tournament brought 1,168 entries and so the guarantee could not be met.
Sixteen players advanced to yesterday's final table, led by Germany's Wendlandt Hennig, followed by Czech player David Křístek, who had the second largest stack. David sat at the final table already as chipleader.
David Křístek was unable to hold on to his lead and eventually finished in 5th place with a prize of €7,600. He was outdone by his compatriot Dalibor Hill, who sat at the final table with the second smallest stack. Dalibor eventually finished in third place with a prize of €14,800.
The final heads-up match was between local player Matej Maceják and German player Hennig Wendlandt. Matej started with a stack of 35 million and Hennig with a stack of 80 million. Although Matej managed to move most of the chips to his side, he was unable to win the tournament in the end. The winner was Wendlandt Hennig, who took home €33,200, while Matej Maceják came in second place, worth €22,200.
