Yesterday, Global Poker Index presented us with the final round of voting in the 6th Annual Global Poker Awards. The awards will take place on February 22nd at the PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas, with prizes being awarded in 38 categories.
We already know a few of the winners and they are David Coleman who will take the Player of the Year award, Han Feng will take the Mid-Major POY award, Cherish Andrews is the Player of the Year, Jesse Lonis is the player who has been in first place on the GPI leaderboard for the most weeks and Jeremy Ausmus is the PGT Player of the Year 2024.
Caitlin Comeskey secured the most nominations with 4 nominations. Caitlin is defending her 2023 award for Best Short Content Creator. Marle Spragg and Joseph Stapleton are nominated for three awards. Barry Carter, Barny Boatman, Daniel Negreanu, Nikki Limo, Abby Merk, David Lappin, Dara O'Kearney, Irish Poker Open and Kings Resort Rozvadov have all been nominated in two categories.
