February 22, 2025 was the day that the sixth edition of the Global Poker Awards, rightfully considered the Oscars of the poker world, took place.
Once again this year, the awards were held at the PokerGO Studio at the Aria Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, where a wide variety of people from the poker industry were in attendance. A total of 38 trophies were handed out, with the likes of 2024 GPI Player of the Year Cherish Andrews and GPI Player of the Year David Coleman accepting their awards.
Marle Spragg also picked up an award, winning in the Best Short Content Creator category. Benjamin Spragg won the Best Streamer award, which he won for the second time. Adrian Mateos, Rania Nasreddine, Jeremy Ausmus, Jesse Lonis, Abby Merk, Luca Vivaldi, Nikki Limo and Danny Maxwell won their first GPA trophy. The entire event was emceed by Jeff Platt, who also took home an award.
