Article cover

After the IPS, the Rozvadov poker room brought us the European Poker Sport Championship (EPSC) in Mystery Bounty format, where the guarantee was €333,333 with a buy-in of €150+€100 bounty. The top two players also took a ticket to the WSOPE Main Event, but there were a total of 3 tickets up for grabs.

The tournament had a total of 1,342 entries so the guarantee was collected. The €21,500 was waiting for the winner and 23 players battled it out in yesterday's final table. They were led by German player Fauli, followed by Czech player Hovhannes Asatrjan. Italian player Marco Di Persio was the chipleader at the final table, followed again by Hovhannes Asatrjan.

Hovhannes was clearing the table, knocking out one player after another to take the chipleader position, which he held until the final heads-up, which he entered with a massive stack of 122bp, while his opponent Fauli had a stack of just 12bp.

The final heads-up only lasted about 30 minutes, after which Hovhannes Asatryan emerged as the winner. He knocked out as many as 6 of his opponents at the final table and took home €21,500 for first place. Fauli cashed €12,500 for second place, and both also won a ticket worth €10,350. How much the players took from the bounty prizes was unfortunately not disclosed by the casino.
