John Juanda, Dietrich Fast and Martin Zamani among the winners of the Poker Dream Jeju Series

Prior to the spectacular Triton Super High Roller Series, the Poker Dream Jeju Series was held at the Landing Casino at Shinhwa World Jeju during February 15-24.

Today, we take a look at a couple of tournaments from that series, which seated some of the world's well-known names in poker. We'll start with the $15,000 buy-in tournament, which was the NLH Superstar Challenge, with 65 entries and a prizepool of $924,305. There was $270,350 awaiting the winner, and that was being battled over at the final table by names like Roman Hrabec, Biao Ding and John Juanda.

While Roman Hrabec took home just $26,800 for his 9th place finish, John Juanda was the tournament champion, claiming the full $270,350 prize along with the trophy. With this reward, John surpassed the $26.1 million mark in live tournament winnings.


 

Other winners include Martin Zamani and Dietrich Fast

Let's move on to the Super High Roller with a $10,000 buy-in, 123 entries and a prizepool of $1,134,545. There was $284,095 awaiting the winner here, and that was eventually taken by American player Martin Zamani, who thus surpassed the $6.2 million mark in live tournament winnings.

The tournament schedule also featured a $4,851 buy-in High Roller, which brought 95 entries and a prizepool of $414,722. A sum of $109,350 awaited the winner here, and it was battled for at the final table by names like Henrik Hecklen and German player Dietrich Fast. The winner was Dietrich Fast, who added another trophy to his collection.

Known names in the final table of the 20k Superstar Challenge

Finally, we'll take a look at one more tournament, the $20,000 buy-in NLH Superstar Challenge, which saw 81 entries to reach a prizepool of $1,567,650. The winner was abou to get a prize of $431,905, which was played for at the final table by names such as Ren Lin, Stephen Chidwick, Daniel Dvoress and Biao Ding. However, none of these names were able to prevail and so the first place prize money trophy ended up in the hands of Christopher Park from the USA.
