In addition to the main tournament, the prestigious Highroller was part of the already mentioned WPT festival, which follows the WSOP just a few meters away in the Wynn casino. While the Main Event, subtitled EveryOne for One Drop, carried a buy-in of $10,500, its more expensive version was called WPT Alpha8 for One Drop, but the price tag here was set at $111,000.

The three-day tournament produced a total of 45 entries, which took care of a prize pool worth $4,612,500. It was waiting for the best seven players, whose composition you could guess really hard, as the game was just teeming with the world's best. Either way, poker is relentless in this, but Henrik Hecklen was the last to not make ITM this time.

By the end of day 2, we saw one more elimination, which went to Isaac Haxton ($222,600), after his elimination we had a break before the final day. The following players returned to fight for the $1,537,600 prize:

  • Seat 1.  Taylor von Kriegenbergh  -  1,280,000  (32 bb)
  • Seat 2.  Aleksejs Ponakovs  -  2,255,000  (56 bb)
  • Seat 3.  Iaron Lightbourne  -  1,100,000  (28 bb)
  • Seat 4.  Dan Smith  -  945,000  (24 bb)
  • Seat 5.  Jonathan Jaffe  -  4,085,000  (102 bb)
  • Seat 6.  Michael Lim  -  1,595,000  (40 bb)

You could also enjoy great poker and battles for astronomical rewards through the Live Stream, the recording of which you can recall here:

Chip leader Jonathan Jaffe started the nearly 5-hour final with a big lead, and it was him who took the overall title after 105 hands. The first eliminated of the day was Iaron Lightbourne ($273,200), who was followed by Michael Lim ($350,100), Aleksejs Ponakovs ($485,200) and the experienced Dan Smith ($701,700), whom many considered the favorite before the game.

After his elimination, the tournament moved to heads-up, which was started by Jonathan Jaffe and Taylor von Kriegenberg with almost identical stacks (59bb and 54bb). The final lasted 32 hands, during which the chips moved from side to side. But in the end, they anchored right in front of chiplader Jonathan Jaffe, who, after the final winning flip with a pair of T T against Kriegenbergher's K Q , took home a full $1,537,600 and two beautiful trophies. Runner-up Taylor von Kriegenbergh also became a millionaire, taking home $1,042,100 from the tournament.
