Leon Tsoukernik collapsed and is fighting for his life, what happened?

Article cover

We believe that we do not need to introduce the name Leon Tsoukernik to any of our readers. Originally a Russian antiques collector living in the Czech Republic, who built Europe's largest poker room - Kings Resort - in the village of Rozvadov. Later, he also bought the casino at the Hilton Hotel Prague and under his leadership, poker series such as the Triton Poker SHR Series, WSOP Circuit Events, WSOP Europe and EPT Prague were organized in the Czech Republic.

Last year, however, Leon sold all his shares in the casino industry and retreated into the background. The exact amount for which he sold his Kings Resort Rozvadov and Kings Prague has not been disclosed, but it is estimated to be around €300-400 million. He also has an impressive resume in the live tournament poker scene, where he managed to win more than $5.4 million.

Leon Tsoukernik is currently 51 years old and lives in his luxurious mansion in Chodova Planá. It was at this location that the emergency services were called to find Leon unconscious and in a serious state of health. This necessitated an immediate airlift to the hospital.

What happened?

What exactly happened is currently under investigation by the Czech police. According to the information published in the media, Leon was allegedly supposed to have been administered unprofessionally intravenously a drug to induce short-term anaesthesia, which is administered, for example, to patients with insomnia. This medicine can only be administered by a doctor and its unprofessional manipulation can be life-threatening. The media have reported that Michael Jackson, for example, lost his life after being given too large a dose of such a drug.

The police are currently investigating the case on suspicion of the particularly serious crime of grievous bodily harm. "We are investigating a possible unlawful act that may have occurred at an unspecified time in Chodové Plané. There was a 51-year-old unconscious man who was airlifted for medical treatment," police spokeswoman Iva Vršecká said. "I can confirm that we had two crews with a doctor at the scene. We handed over the patient in a serious condition to the air ambulance," Andrea Divišová, spokeswoman for the regional ambulance service, told the Novinky.cz website.

This is all the information we have at the moment. If new information about the health condition of Leon Tsoukernik becomes available, we will be sure to inform you about it. We wish Leon good strength and a speedy recovery.
