The historic 35th edition of the Banco Casino Masters is history. The Main Event registered a total of 1,197 entries, which in this case was not enough to collect the guarantee. Therefore, Banco Casino had to pay a considerable sum up to the guaranteed quarter of a million euros from its own pocket. The biggest joy of it had the 119 players who advanced to Day 2. Sixteen finalists emerged from them, who battled it out for more than €40,000!
The final day began with the participation of 16 players, who sat at the two last tables of the Banco Casino Masters Main Event yesterday at 4:00 p.m. It took about two hours to get to know the participants of the official final table. Unfortunately, Stefano didn't get to it, as he didn't have enough with AQ to the opponent's AK. Czech representative Jan Černý entered the final table as the chipleader with a stack of more than 12 million.
Battles on the final table were also recorded thanks to our LIVESTREAM. Maicol Darrigo was the first to leave the final table, followed by seventh seed Semir Jatic. Peter Ješko, who from the short stack managed to get to the chip lead during the tournament, finally lost the unfortunate KQ to K6, which was held by Černý, and subsequently his KQ was weaker to Steindel's AK combination.
After Geiger Tamás was eliminated in fifth and Christian Steindel in fourth, the debate about the deal began. The last three agreed the following deal, with €7,970 still up for grabs:
- Eddy - 32,690€
- Jan - 20,830€
- Yavor - 19,490€
After all, it was Eddy who left nothing to chance and took another title from Banco Casino. This time he became the 35th Banco Casino Masters champion, for which he earned €40,660 after the deal. Congratulations!
