Another edition of the Banco Casino Masters, this time with the 38th edition, is over. Players entered the tournament a total of 1,388 times which was not enough to fill the guarantee. Yesterday, the last 16 players met in the battle for the title of Masters champion also in front of our cameras. You can watch footage from the final table below.

Eight players made it to the final table, with each player coming from a different country. The multi-national table was chiplead by Artur Meburnutov from Ukraine with a stack of 14 million chips.

Chipcount Final Table - Masters #38:

After the first four players were eliminated, the final four players decided to recalculate their stacks. Unfortunately, some of the players didn't like the numbers, so they moved on. Chipleader Meburnutov started to lose ground gradually and ended up in 4th place. Third Sorin Lica unbluffed his stack to Sykora and later runner-up Erik Oestergaard sent an allin bluff for 30BB which Sykora quickly called with top pair.

The champion of the 38th edition of the Banco Casino Masters was thus Christian Sykora, who entered the final day as the shortstack, and who took his chance brilliantly, taking home the full €36,370. Congratulations.
