The birthplace of the EPT and, to this day, the most popular stop of the entire tour for many, has already taken care of setting various records in the past. Among them stood out the more affordable Main Event Estrellas Poker Tour, which with a buy-in of €1,100 last year, thanks to 6,313 entries, took care of the historically largest event that ever took place under the EPT banner. Well, after yesterday, this statement no longer applies!
Four days, during which eight flights took place, suggested from the beginning a serious attack on the record, and these expectations were fulfilled to the letter. A total of 3,291 unique players took care of 7,398 entries at the end, which surpassed last year's record by more than a thousand entries and set a new limit for the biggest live event under the PS banner!
Players from a total of 86 countries took part in the tournament, the first three were occupied by players from France (559), Spain (426) and Italy (375). There are also a number of well-known names in world poker among those advancing, for example Ramon Colillas, Ben Spragg, Parker Talbot, Pierre Neuville and Vladas Tamasauskas are worth mentioning.
The massive prize pool worth €7,102,080 has not yet revealed its payout structure, but it is clear that it will begin to be divided today during day 2 among the 1,109 successful advancers.
The second day of play awaits all those who successfully advance today, followed by Day 3 on Saturday, and the final table on Sunday will conclude everything. It will take place already on the TV table, which will start an 8-day string of live streams from this event. On Monday you will be able to enjoy the final table of the €100k Super High Roller live, and then from Tuesday you will already have 6 days of streams from the Main Event itself.
