The top 9 players advanced to yesterday's final table, and all of them had already pocketed at least $502,771 here. They were led by Russian player Evgenii "Yair Rodriguez" Akimov with a stack of over 86 million. He was followed by Rui Ferreira and German player Moritz "cashgrabber75" Dietrich rounded out the third place finishers. At the other end with the smallest stack was German pro Benjamin Rolle.

Benjamin Rolle managed to survive one payjump in the end, taking home $651,921 for 8th place. Rui ferreira was unfortunate to be eliminated in third place after his A-K was not enough for Akimov's flush.

Akimov thus went into the final heads-up with a stack of up to 307 (61bb) million against Dietrich with a stack of just 61 million (12bb). Heads-up play lasted approximately 35 minutes, during which time Dietrich managed to turn the game in his favour. On the final hand, the German player already had a stack of over 310M and his opponent had 50M. Akimov went all-in after the turn, which Dietrich gladly called, and after the river folded, Dietrich rejoiced in his bracelet win and a record-breaking sum of over $4M.
