$30k NLH 7-Handed
Five titles from the Triton Series have been already taken, and yesterday we were able to witness handing out another. In the tournament, which had a buy-in of $30,000, players bought in a total of 145 times. The prize pool of this event reached $4,350,000, which was divided between 23 players.
The second day of play started with the participation of 34 players. 11 of them, who did not manage to get to the ITM, had their heads in sorrow. Ukrainian player Renat Bohdnov ended up on the bubble, who with AQo was not enough for Dim's pair of aces.
After Bohdnov was eliminated, the final table was formed, which was attended by eight finalists from eight different countries. Juan Pardo sat at the final table as the chip leader.
Final table:
Juan Pardo, Spain – 68 BBs
Luc Greenwood, Canada – 37 BBs
Ole Schemion, Germany – 33 BBs
Travis Endersby, Australia – 28 BBs
Ognyan Dimov, Bulgaria – 25 BBs
Janissa Kan, Hong Kong – 20 BBs
Joao Vieira, Portugal – 14 BBs
Mikita Badziakouski, Belarus – 6 BBs
Eight countries on the final table
The first to leave the final table was four-time Triton champion Mikita Badziakouski, who did not flip with AJo into Pardo's eights. Seventh place went to Joao Vieira, who took home $172,000.
Previous Triton series also had a female representation. The series in Monte Carlo is no exception, although so far it has mainly been dominated by men. The only woman at the final table, Janissa Kan, turned her first appearance into sixth place and $232,700.
The hit of a lifetime was earned by Australian player Travis Endersby, who qualified for Monte Carlo from online gaming. His biggest win to date was around $50,000, which he has now surpassed to take home $300,100.
Luc Greenwood, who has a title from London, finished fourth this time for $374,000. Ole Shemion followed him to the cach desk. He first tried to bluff with 9 5 on a board of Jd Td 7s 4d Js , to which Pardo responded with a bluff all in with K 6 , and then sent A5 to Dimov with A9 . For third place, he increased his bankroll by almost half a million dollars.
The heads-up battle didn't even last that long, as the first all-in confrontation decided the fate. Juan Pardo held K 9 and Ognjan Dimov held QT . The top ten on the tour decided that Juan Pardo became the runner up and Ognjan Dimov turned the fourth tournament participation in Monte Carlo into the title and the million dollar prize.
