PokerGO has a number of series and tournaments under its wing, which take place at the PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas. These tournaments are interspersed with a common scoring system that annually announces the Player of the Year and also qualifies the best players for the Million Dollar Freeroll. Jeremy Ausmus ended the 2024 year in style, winning Player of the Year, but also winning the Million Dollar Freeroll and taking home $500,000. In total, he recorded 26 ITM placements during 2024 for a total of $5,991,016.

Where one thing ends, another begins, and the new 2025 edition has officially kicked off. The inaugural event was the PGT Kickoff, an event consisting of five tournaments with buy-ins of $5,100 (the last tournament has a $10,100 buy-in). As this is the opening event of the entire season, the organizers traditionally offer all players double points in the scoring.
Last night's opening tournament saw a total of 84 entries and, thanks to them, a prizepool worth $420,000. The tournament attracted a number of big names in the poker world, including Chino Rheem, Erik Seidel, Patrick Leonard, Shannon Shorr, Stephen Song, Andrew Lichtenberger, Nick Schulman and Jonathan Little.
The prize money in this tournament awaited the top 12 players, who we got to know after the elimination of Nick Schulte in bubble position. By the end of the first day of play, the likes of Ethan "Rampage" Yau, Manuel Fritz and Jesse Lonis had also said goodbye to the tournament, but the top 7 players made it to the packing stacks for today's final table.
They are currently led by Andrew 'LuckyChewy' Lichtenberger, who knocked out 9 opponents during the day and carries nearly 40% of all the chips in play into the final table. He will be kept company at the final table where $117,600 awaits the winner by the likes of Patrik Leonard, Erik Seidel and Nick Schulman. The final table will be played tonight our time, alongside the first day of the second event.
