If you follow the events in the poker world closely, you certainly did not miss the information that the poker elite is uniting in Cyprus these days, specifically in the bustling Merit Casino. It first hosted a 6-day Triton festival that crowned new and old-new champions, led by none other than the legendary Phil Ivey.
The festival was also an appetizer for the next Super High Roller Series, which brings ten buy-in events starting at $25,000 and ending at $250,000. From the very first tournament, it was clear that there was no risk of boredom, as the already packed playing field was complemented by other superstars of the poker world, which promised great action.
We saw this right at the beginning, where the Dutchman Tom Vogelsang won the opening tournament, followed by Mikita Badziakouski in the second event. The ageless legend showed some of his poker skills in a $50,000 PLO event that produced a total of 32 entries. The 45-year-old Hall of Famer and holder of ten WSOP bracelets won another tournament title just four days after winning the Triton Short Deck event, so his April record is as follows:

Thanks to $640,000 in bonuses, Ivey has already risen above Mikita Badziaokouski in the all-time money list and is currently losing only about a quarter of a million to overtake Jason Koon for 9th place. In terms of this year's statistics, Ivey is in second place on a global scale, losing only $25,000 to defeat the current leader, Ali Imsirovic.
