PistolePete Takes Biggest Payday from $ZTO$ X Main Event, Winner is “Director”

The Rozvadov Kings Resort had the final day of the $ZTO$ X Main Event on the schedule yesterday, which guaranteed €500,000 for a buy-in of €250. The top 5 players also had a guaranteed ticket to the WSOPE Main Event worth €10,350.

The entries count reached 1,897, so the casino had to add to the guarantee out of its own pocket. The top 24 players made it to the final table and were led by German player Mephisto. He was already a massive chipleader when the 8-seater final table was assembled and was well on his way to the top prize of €63,000. At the other end of the table was German player PistolePete.

Mephisto failed to capitalize on his massive chiplead and eventually finished in 4th place with a reward of €18,000. After he was eliminated, the last three players negotiated a deal, and since PistolePete was the chipleader at the time, he secured the top prize of €45,400. After that, PistolePete finished in third place and did not make it to heads-up play.

The final heads-up match was between Lithuanian player Director and Dutch player Fex, with Fex having a stack 4 blinds bigger than his opponent. Heads-up play lasted 45 minutes, after which Lithuanian player Director was crowned the champion. He took home €43,438 after the deal.
