At the end of 2024, Pokerstars introduced us to a completely new poker series, called Pokerstars Open. After the announcement of the European stops, we now have fresh news.
Pokerstars Open in the USA
After the presentation of the Pokerstars Open in Campione, Namur, Malaga, Manchester and Cannes, we have a new stop in the USA. After the successful first stop in Campione, the organizers decided to add a stop in Philadelphia.
The first stop of the Pokerstars Open in the USA will be held at the Live! Casino & Hotel in Philadelphia and will take place from April 21 to 27. The tournament schedule will also include the Main Event with a buy-in of $1.100. It has a guarantee of €1.000.000 in Europe, but the US version will only have a guarantee of $500.000.
There will also be a High Roller with a buy-in of $2.200, a PokerStars Cup with a buy-in of $400, and a Women's Event with a buy-in of $300. A new event will be a special NHL Bounty event with a buy-in of $300, where bounties will be offered for eliminating players from the Pokerstars Pro Team. Names such as Jason Koon, Caitlin Comeskey, Maria Konnikova, and Jen Shahade, who comes directly from Philadelphia, will be playing here.
