Article cover

The Pokerstars Open is a new series that the organisers have prepared for us this year and the very first stop is at the legendary Campione. The Main Event of the entire series has a buy-in of €1,100 and a guarantee of €1,000,000.

This tournament has reached 2,423 entries, making it the largest single PS tournament with a buy-in of €1,100. Thanks to this onslaught of players, the guarantee was completely wiped out, and the new prizepool is worth €2,326,080.

Advancing to Day 3

Yesterday, the tournament had Day 2 on the schedule, with around 1,000 players playing. Only 315 of them could make it to the ITM and the min cash was worth €1,790. However, there is €363,000 waiting for the winner, and 189 players are still left in the game for that amount.

Chipleader is Israeli player Yossi Maymon with a stack of 1,754,000. There are also names such as Sebastian Kotowicz, Besnik Lalin, Michael Sklenička, Antoine Labat and Gianluca Speranza.

Names like Sam Grafton, Felix Schneiders, Dominik Panka, David Docherty, Lukáš Záškodný, Barny Boatman, Vivian Saliba and Vanessa Kade were also in play, but none of them made it to Day 3.Play will resume today from 12:30pm on blinds of 4,000/8,000/8,000 and will run 75-minute levels.

High Roller winner announced

Before the start of the Main Event, the €2,200 buy-in High Roller was played, which brought 354 entries and a prizepool worth €679,680. The winner got €134,560, and it went to Arni Gunnarsson from Iceland. He defeated Adi Rajkovic of Austria in heads-up play to take second place for €84,060.
