Just a few days ago, PokerStars unveiled the highly anticipated 2024 Spring Schedule of Online Poker Championships (SCOOP), which promises to be an exciting journey for poker enthusiasts around the world. Billed as the second biggest festival after the WCOOP, the 16th edition of the SCOOP is scheduled for May 5-29. On this date, you can look forward to a staggering 128 events that are designed for players of all levels - buy-ins range from $2.20 to $25,000.
Main Event trio
As usual, the entire festival is divided into three levels, and each of them brings with it its own Main Event. These will play out on May 26 and will take the following form:
- $109 Main Event Low ($2 Million Gtd)
- $1,000 Main Event Medium ($3.5 million Gtd)
- $10,000 Main Event High ($5 million Gtd)
This is the first year that the new Mystery Bounty format will be introduced during the SCOOP with a total of 12 events with guarantees of up to $500,000. One of the most popular festivals in online poker will also feature a number of mixed games, which are sure to get the teeth of the likes of Benny Glaser, who last year won a remarkable nine COOP titles in one year, starting with three SCOOP titles.
Compared to last year, the guarantee remained the same, only the number of tournaments increased from 121 to 128. The High Main Event was won by Felipe "lime beer" Boianovsky, who took home a prize of $1,036,200. The record in this Main Event has been held since 2016 by Talal "raidalot" Shakerchi, who booked the largest-ever SCOOP bounty here - $1,468,000.
