Article cover

The very first tournament of the Triton Jeju series reached a record number of entries, and those numbers were subsequently surpassed by tournament number 3. However, the record-breaking run is not over, and now we have another record-breaking tournament, which is the $106,000 buy-in NLH Main Event.

Another record

This one became the biggest Triton tournament with a 6-figure buy-in, thanks to 285 entries, and its prizepool reached as high as $28,500,000. It surpassed last year's record of 216 entries.

The ITM was open to 47 players, with a minimum prize of $163,000 and up to $5,555,000 awaiting the winner. Finishing in 47th place, with the smallest prize, was Hungarian pro András Németh. The top 9 players were supposed to battle for the biggest prize in today's final table, but in the end the tournament was suspended at 16 players.

All 16 finalists now have at least $336,000 in their pockets and are led by Chinese player Huang Wenjie with a stack of 9,875,000. In second place is Dan "Jungleman" Cates with a stack of 9,375,000. Also in the final table are Santhosh Suvarna, Artur Martirosian, Sam Greenwood, Aliaksandr Shylko, Anatoly Filatov and Nacho Barbero.

The final day of the NLH Main Event Triton Jeju will start at 1:00 pm local time with blinds 50k/125k/125k and players will run 50 minute levels.
