Leon Tsoukernik has been associated with the King's Casino name and brand since the beginning. In the small village of Rozvadov, near the German border, he managed to build a casino with the largest European poker room. It opened its doors in 2003 and has hosted the biggest poker events ever since. Every year, for example, EUREKA, WSOP Circuit or WSOP Europe are held here and attract more than 500,000 visitors.
Birthday without the founder
Back on June 26, Kings Resort will celebrate 21 years of its existence. However, according to current information, the celebrations will already take place without Leon Tsoukernik. He was supposed to sell his shares in King's Entertainment to his long-time business partner Scott Hanna, and other partners.
It is rumored that he should have sold his share for a price of around 300 to 400 million euros. Leon is no longer the owner of King's Resort Rozvadov, Admiral Casino Rozvadov or King's Casino Prague in Hilton, where the EPT Prague series is held every year. Leon's latest move was the launch of the online betting platform Kingsbet.
Leon Tsoukernik owned a majority stake in the company, namely 60 percent. However, he was transferred to Scott Hanna on June 5, 2024, according to the commercial register, and Leon Tsoukernik was deleted from the register on the same date. All companies in the portfolio are participating in the sale of his share, including the Kingsbet platform, which was the first in the country to receive a license under the new law effective from January 2024.
Leon now wants to devote himself more to his family, art and antiques. He wants to stay out of the casino business, and he wants to build a Jewish synagogue in Mariánské Lázné. We currently do not know what will change in the aforementioned casinos. If more information becomes available, we will certainly inform you about it.
