The WSOP and the Triton Super High Roller Series have joined forces to bring us two joint tournaments at WSOP Paradise. One of them is the $525,000 buy-in Triton Million, where pros could only get in via invitation-only business.
In total, the tournament brought in 96 entries, creating a prizepool worth $48,000,000. Of that amount, as much as $12,070,000 awaits the winner, plus a trophy and a gold WSOP bracelet. Cash prizes were waiting for 17 players.
Underdog of the Day
Yesterday's Day 2 was on schedule to burst the bubble, and it did. However, a very unpleasant situation happened around it that immediately captivated the poker world. In a 20-player hand, a pair of players - Artur Martirosian and Nick Petrangelo - busted out at the same table at the same time. This left 18 players in the game and the game was right on the bubble.
Unbeknownst to Hustler Casino Live owner Ryan Feldman, who was at the other table at the same time in the big blind. Ryan tried to protect his big blind, but after an all-in/call situation, he unluckily bumped into Alejandro Lococ. Ryan was thus eliminated from the hand and went straight as bubble-boy. Feldman himself said at the X that he was unaware that two players had busted out at the other table at the same time, making it a straight bubble hand. If he had known this fact, he probably would have discarded his cards.
After he was eliminated, 17 players were already ITM and we then saw 3 quick eliminations. 17th place went to Mikita Badziakouski, Punnat Punsri finished in 16th place and both took home $755,000. In 15th place was Phil Nagy who took home $792,000. After his elimination, play was halted and 14 players will move on to today's final table.
Everyone here has already pocketed at least $792,000. The closest to the biggest prize is currently Michael Moncek, who has a stack of 12,500,000. Close behind him is Daniel Dvoress with a stack of 12,350,000. However, there are also a few well-known names in the poker world.
