It featured 24 entries and a prizepool worth $7,056,000, which was shared by the top four players. A diamond ring, a gold trophy and a $3,206,000 prize awaited the winner. The final four players entered the final day and all had at least $750,000 in their pockets here.

The chipleader here was Juan Pardo Rodriguez (3,500,000) and conversely on the other side with the smallest stack was Jeremy Ausmus (690,000). Jeremy wasn't the first player eliminated, however. The $750,000 reward for fourth place eventually went to Leonard Maue, and Jeremy Ausmus finished in third place with a $1,200,000 reward.

Short heads-up

Seth Davies with a stack of 4,260,000 and Juan Pardo with a stack of 2,940,000 sat across from each other in the final heads-up. Heads-up play lasted just two hands, and it all ended with a hand in which two straights met. However, it was the American Seth Davies who held the bigger hand and was delighted with the win.

The $3,206,000 prize he received for the first place finish is his biggest lifetime win, bringing his total live tournament winnings to $29,268,411. This sees Seth jump to 26th place on the global all-time money list, leaving behind names such as Danny Tang, Mike Watson, Antonio Esfandiari, Brian Rast and Scott Seiver.

Jeremy Ausmus leads PGT Leaderboard

Following the WSOP in Las Vegas, Michael Rocco took the top spot on the PokerGO Tour Leaderboard and held that spot until yesterday. He was overtaken by Jeremy Ausmus yesterday, thanks to his four final table appearances, and in the ITM, during the Super High Roller Series in Cyprus. Jeremy currently has 18 ITM placings in PGT tournaments, has earned over $5.1 million in total, and has secured 2,160 points, 325 more than second-place Michael Rocco.

However, there are still about 40 PGT tournaments to go, so Jeremy has nothing certain yet. The winner of the PGT Leaderboard will be awarded the Player of the Year title and a $50,000 PGT Passport to go with it. In addition, the top 40 players on the leaderboard will have the opportunity to play the $1,000,000 PGT Championship freeroll, where $500,000 awaits the winner.
