Mystery Bounty tournament with an unusual ending
The Mystery Bounty (6-Max) tournament with a buy-in of $25,750 brought 40 entries and a prizepool worth $980,000. A $162,000 bounty awaited the winner here, to which he or she could earn one $200,000 bounty and two $100,000 bounties.
Cash prizes were waiting for the top 6 players. Sorel Mizzi was the first to bust out of the final table, followed by Sam Greenwood and Seth Davies at the cashier. The top three players were joined by Phil Ivey as chipleader.
The entire tournament eventually ended with a 3-way all-in, with Mateos hitting a flush on the turn to become the winner of this tournament. He earned $162,000 for first place and added another $165,000 in bounty prizes. Phil Ivey took second place and was the one who took home the most money from the tournament. In fact, Ivey hit one $100,000 envelope and a $200,000 envelope, adding $413,000 to his second-place prize.
