Europe's oldest poker series, the Irish Open, is in full swing, and after the winner of the Luxon Mystery Bounty, today we present you two more champions.
First up, we'll take a look at The Hendon Mob Championship with a buy-in of €350, which brought 888 entries and a prizepool worth €268,398. This left a reward of €47,448 awaiting the winner.
Slovak Champion
Players from eight countries sat at the 9-seat final table and the chipleader was Petar Petrov from Bulgaria, who had a stack worth 4,600,000. However, it was Charlotte Waters who gradually came to the fore, knocking out as many as five of her opponents. Charlotte also made it to the final heads-up where she was up against Michal Havavka from Slovakia.
Charlotte had a stack of 16,500,000 and Michal held a stack of 9,500,000. The pair negotiated an ICM deal together, after which Charlotte secured €40,000 and Michal secured €37,348. All that was left to play for was the trophy and a package to the THMC Cape Town Million. The match lasted about an hour, after which the winner was Slovak player Michal Havavka. He also took home the trophy from the Irish Open last year when he dominated the America's Cup with a prize of €27,042.
