Today we take a look at the WSOP Circuit Events held at the French Riviera in Aix-en-Provence, specifically at the Pasino Grand. Of course the main attraction here was the Main Event with a buy-in of €1,000 and a €1,000,000 guarantee.
The Main Event brought 1,433 entries and took care of a prizepool worth €1,238,112, of which €160,000 was waiting for the winner. Along with this amount, the new champion also received a valuable gold ring, a $10,000 WSOP Main Event ticket and a ticket to the WSOP Tournament of Champions.
Final Event
The top eight players advanced to the final day and were led by French player Julien Bolimowski with a stack of 18,900,000. Four players had huge stacks here and on the other side, four players had stacks of 11 blinds or less.
The most experienced player at the final table was Julien Sitbon, who has one WSOP bracelet and tournament earnings of nearly $4 million. He had to settle for a €26,000 payday for 7th place.
However, it was Slovenian player David Gradic who came out on top, eventually knocking out as many as six of his opponents. The heads-up play itself lasted only a few minutes, after which David Gradic became the new WSOPC Main Event champion. The most interesting thing about this victory is that David originally came to the area just for a vacation. He eventually converted his two buy-ins into a €160,000 prize, a ring and a ticket to the WSOP Main Event.
