If you're one of our fans, you'll be well aware that in addition to the latest news and poker livestreams, we're also bringing you an international poker series. The Spadepoker Tour has previously taken place in Bratislava and Liechtenstein, and its fifth edition will take place at King's Casino Rozvadov from May 1st to 5th.
The first winner was Poland's Kondraszuk
The whole festival kicked off yesterday with a warm-up Opener event, which took the form of a €150 tournament. A total of 83 players took care of 123 entries in it, which treated the top thirteen players to cash prizes. The winner of the tournament in the end was Poland's Maciej Ludwik Kondraszuk, who took home the full €6,146 without a deal.
Start of the Main Event
As you know, a total of five opening days await you from today, in which a €500 buy-in will be exchanged for a 40,000 starting stack. Comfortable 40-minute blinds will allow each player to fully display their poker knowledge, the aim of which should be to survive the 13 levels and then advance to Sunday's Day 2. There, all advancing players will face off in a battle for a seat at the final table, which will reveal the name of the champion on Monday, May 6.
The festival will also feature various side events including the prestigious €50,000 High Roller. As is customary, the SPT champion will receive a unique handmade trophy in addition to a cash prize, and the top four players in this tournament will also receive a ticket to the WSOPE Main Event worth €10,350. You all can also look forward to a live stream that will take you through the second and final day of the Main Event. See you in person in Rozvadov?
