Stephen Chidwick wins his second WSOP bracelet and $1,357,080

Atlantis Paradise Island in the Bahamas is currently hosting the WSOP Paradise series, which has attracted some of the biggest names in poker. The tournament schedule yesterday included the $50,000 buy-in PLO Championship, which brought 122 entries and a prizepool of $6,100,000.

A prize of $1,357,080 awaited the winner and the top 7 players battled it out on the final day. The chipleader here was Ben Tollerene with a huge stack of up to 14,465,000. Yang Wang had the second biggest stack and that was worth 5,160,000.

Pascal Lefrancois was the first to bust out, followed by Benny Glaser ($304,870) at the cashier. Original chipleader Ben Tollerene eventually had to settle for third place, which was worth $746,790.

Yang Wang entered the final heads-up as chipleader and held a 2:1 advantage against Stephen Chidwick. It didn't take long for the chipleader to be Stephen Chidwick with an advantage of as much as 4:1. He kept increasing his lead and eventually Stephen became the PLO Championship winner, taking home his second WSOP bracelet and $1,357,080. He won his first bracelet in 2019 when he was the champion of the $25,000 PLO High Roller. Stephen has current live tournament winnings worth more than $63 million.

Super Main Event continued

The WSOP Super Main Event continued last night with a $25,000 buy-in and $50,000,000 guarantee. Flight 1B was significantly weaker than 1A. While 1A saw 461 entries, 1B generated only 254 entries. In total, the entries count stands at 715.

89 players wrapped up their advancing stacks on the night, bringing the Day 2 total to 244 players. The Day 1B chipleader and overall chipleader is Fedor Holz, whose stack is worth 4,880,000. Chris Hunichen, Alex Foxen, Hossein Ensan, Alejandro Lococo, Benny Glaser, Kristen Foxen, Justin Bonomo, Mario Mosboeck, Scott Seiver, Anthony Zinno, and Jonathan Little also made the list of qualifiers.
